God Awful Things

Here is the year 2008 in review. It all started about a year ago this very day.

Bubs and I were just celebrating our 2 year anniversary, which means in a couple days we will celebrate our 3 year anniversary.

I placed a bet on some superbowl grid and won a couple hundred bucks… why does everyone think gambling is hard?

We started renting vacation homes, Big Bear was first.

Then we went to Ojai.

There was a costume party.

I turned 31 and had folks go hiking.

We went to Joshua Tree and I found out my spirit animal is a bat.

I went to Catalina and discovered the true meaning of “Island Madness”

My Bloody Valentine blew my socks of with their sonic attack.

I went to Chicago.

And that is about it on places I went.

I’m surprised the cure is up there really, I never listen to them, only apparantly I do.

Top 10 Songs of the year:

The Middle East coming out of nowhere. Impressive.

My favorite word of 2008 is probably “Effusive” as I can remember it and say it whilst sounding like a big douche bag (well, bigger douche bag).

I spent $7140 at the bars. I am predicting a lower number for 2009, or maybe I am just praying for a lower number.

I bought my first sofa ever, and my first suit.

My grandfather died, which means my immediate family is now down to 3 people.

I guess that’s that.
