There is a Hayden jam (probably shouldn’t refer to Hayden songs as jams) called “Two Doors”.
Anyway, last night I was reminded of my romantic comedy movie idea I had inspired by this song. Behind door number one is David, he runs an internet consulting firm all from the comfort of his apartment, video conferencing, emailing, networking etc etc, it’s a pretty good life for david except.. well.. he’s agoraphobic.
Behind door number two be have Melinda. Melinda has an online store where she sells crafts and such she makes. Everything is great for Melinda, except she’s agoraphobic. Melinda is ready to expand her business and needs some technical nohow, through various channels she eventually “meets” David.. que the Sixpence None the Richer “Kiss Me”.. a whirlwind romance is formed online, hilarity ensues as they can’t leave their apartments to ever actually be together, but they’re the only ones who really understand the other.
One night Melinda’s neighbor is blasting music on the stereo, frustrated, she pounds on the wall until they stop and calls David feeling frustrated, she asks what he is up to, he says he was just letting off some steam blasting his jams until his neighbor pounded on the wall. Bah DUH DUH! Big reveal, they’ve been neighbors this whole time! They break down the wall separating them finally able to be together, jets fly over, rock me like a hurricane plays and we roll credits.. Movie bloopers in credits..
The end. If you would like to produce this film, please contact me, I imagine the production costs would be pretty low what with only really needing two sets.. and I can promise DOZENS of ticket sales.
