God Awful Things

Here is the year 2009 in review. It all started about a year ago this very day. [see 2008]

Bubs and I were just celebrating our 3 year anniversary, which means in a couple days we will celebrate our 4 year anniversary.

I spent a couple hundred bucks and went to Chicago.  Why did I think it would be easy?

We went to Big Bear.  I made an ass of myself, but got some things off the “to do” list.

I served jury duty for the first time ever.  We were in court for all of 30 minutes before the case was dismissed.  Landlord / Tenet dispute.

We went to Chuck E. Cheese and got drunk on shitty beer and ate shittier pizza.

I turned 32 and we went hiking the again.. It’s easier on the way back down.

I made crab for the first time.. It was delicious.

We went down to “The ‘Dondo” and had more crab, it too, was good.

Apricot beer became a staple during memorial day.  This is also the last photograph of lb as she would soon disappear into her world of love where her friends no longer exist.

The Lakers won the NBA championships, I this is the last time I barfed. Thank god I was in the shower.

Nibbles had a birthday, Tom & Serene split up after a few years.. No one saw that coming.

My Grandmother died, which allowed us to bury her and my Grandfathers ashes.  This was rough.

Went to the races whilst out for the funeral, a bottle of Rum makes them much more entertaining.

I had the best sushi I’ve ever had in my life.

Brandi announced the worst kept secret of ’09, that she was pregnant.

The McRib came back.

Unfortunately bar spending is messed up as mint doesn’t have anything before June, which is obviously incorrect, but I’m guessing it was actually slightly less than last year with the possible exception that the past three months has been a little on the high side.

As mentioned above, my grandmother died, my bro got sent to the hospital twice.. Met some new people, lost some old people.  This is a very depressing exercise .
